The Midweek Recap · Wednesday, October 28, 2026

Three Ties and Counting: Pineapples and KTCS Keep Matching Each Other Point for Point

The Pineapples and KTCS played three lunchtime quarters this week and finished each one 7-7, so both teams are still searching for their first win. Touchdowns, picks, and one very memorable catch kept every game lively, and the Pick'em crowd had some big moments too.

Game of the Week

Monday's Oct. 22 matchup was the most talked-about game of the week. Giovani Pelaez scored for the Pineapples, and Kamden Doage answered for KTCS on a Charlie Waddell throw. That KTCS touchdown drew a controversial call, and the coach believes Doage was not in the end zone, so the debate is still going. The game finished 7-7.

Top Plays

Wednesday's Oct. 26 game had a notable catch from Giovani Pelaez, who hauled in a Maddox Marsaglia throw over a kid who ran onto the field and stayed on his feet. Finn Hopkins caught a Marsaglia touchdown for the Pineapples, and Wally Barrickman caught a Kayson Link touchdown for KTCS. Also on Monday, Bowen Ince picked off Charlie Waddell after a tip from Maddox Pedon, and Braxton Iliff-Murphy grabbed an interception for KTCS. Oct. 27 featured a busy day of turnovers: Xavier Davenport had two interceptions, Carson Tabaka added one for KTCS, and Wally Barrickman and Maddox Marsaglia each picked off a pass for the Pineapples. Luka Corrales (Pineapples) and Carson Tabaka (KTCS) also scored touchdowns that day, and the game ended 7-7.

Power Rankings

Giovani Pelaez holds the top spot at 96, just ahead of Xavier Davenport at 93 and Maddox Marsaglia at 92. Charlie Waddell (90) and Kayson Link (84) round out the top five. Nobody's rating moved this week, so the order is the same as before, but there is plenty of time to climb.

Pick'em Report

@ct4 is perfect so far at 1-0 and sits on top of the board with a profit of 3647. The biggest reward went to @ct4, who collected 3847 on the pick that Maddox Marsaglia would get an interception. @enzo (1-3) and @enzo's reward of 1923 on the same Marsaglia pick, plus @zmiannu's 1605 reward on Xavier Davenport's interception, also made the week memorable. @itachi and @hanklamb13 are still searching for their first win, but the next slate is always a fresh start.

Survivor Watch

Survivor is in Round 1, and no players are currently listed as alive. No champions have been crowned yet, so the next round is wide open for anyone who wants to jump back in.

Looking Ahead

The Pineapples and KTCS are back on the field next week. The AI predicts a 14-7 finish on Thursday, Oct. 29, then 14-14 ties on Friday, Oct. 30 and Monday, Nov. 2. Will the streak of ties continue? Check back next Wednesday to find out.
